We are are accepting applications for the below positions:

Construction Laborer:  Full-time, may work on a concrete or steel crew.  We anticipate new employee’s will start in March or April 2021.  Work may include, but is not limited to, physical labor supporting demolition, building structures, erecting pre-engineered metal buildings, metal roofing, metal siding, trim work, steel decking, structural steel erection, welding, dirt work, construct concrete forms, tie rebar, mix and pour cement, finish concrete, clean work sites, operate power tools and equipment, and driving.

Prior construction experience is required.  Experience in concrete or with pre-engineered metal buildings is preferred.  A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to get to and from the job is also required.

Must be reliable, safety conscious, able to take direction and work with others.  Position requires ability to climb, kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, squat, and tolerate heights as well as exert heavy physical effort.  Work environment is typically outside on construction sites and may require work in confined spaces.  May work on multiple job sites per day.  Travel outside of the San Luis Valley is occasionally required.

Starting wage depends on experience but will likely be between $13.50 and $16.00 per hour.  Bonuses are discretionary.  Health insurance and vision insurance are eligible within the first year.  After one year of employment, dental insurance and participation in the company’s Simple IRA is available.  Paid time off is also offered and accrues immediately upon hire.

Concrete Foreman: Full-time.  The concrete foreman coordinates activities of the work crew engaged in pouring and finishing surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks or curbs, and other concrete projects.  The foreman also: interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed; interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations; establishes and adjusts work to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel; directs subgrade work, mixing of concrete, and setting of forms; may study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job; analyzes and resolves work problems; maintains time records, may make cost estimates; managing and scheduling subcontracts; maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills; train new employees and assign employees to crew duties; manage employee performance; and other duties as assigned.

The foreman is responsible for the safety and quality of the project.  This is an on-site / hands on position requiring both managing personnel and engaging in the trade work of the employees being supervised. Hours are Monday through Friday with possible Saturdays, 40 + hours per week. Travel outside of the San Luis Valley is occasionally required.

Qualified candidates will have: four years directly related experience; one year management experience preferred; the ability to read and interpret all documents, drawing, and specifications issues for performance of the construction work; an extensive knowledge of construction safety and ability to travel.  Position requires ability to climb, kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, squat, and tolerate heights as well as exert heavy physical effort.  Work environment is typically outside on construction sites and may require work in confined spaces. Must have a valid driver license and clean driving record.
